Once you have created a mailbox in cPanel, adding it to your phone takes just a few minutes. This guide covers the settings you need for iPhone and Android.
Find your settings #
In cPanel, open Comptes de courrier électronique, click Connecter des appareils next to your mailbox, and note the recommended settings:
- Courrier entrant (IMAP) : your mail server, port 993, SSL.
- Sortant (SMTP) : your mail server, port 465, SSL.
- Nom d'utilisateur : votre adresse e-mail complète.
On iPhone #
- Ouvrir Settings > Mail > Accounts > Add Account > Other.
- Choisir Ajouter un compte de messagerie and enter your details.
- Définissez le type sur IMAP and enter the servers above.
- Enregistrer.
On Android #
- Open your mail app and add an account.
- Choisir IMAP ou Autres.
- Enter your address, password, and the server details.
- Finish.
Dépannage #
- Impossible de se connecter : confirm the hostname, ports, and SSL.
- Impossible d'envoyer : check the outgoing server and that authentication is on.
