Comment puis-je modifier la version PHP de mon site web dans DirectAdmin ?

Different applications need different PHP versions. WordPress and most modern software run best on a recent, supported version. DirectAdmin lets you switch the PHP version for your site in a few clicks. Here is how.

Pourquoi la version de PHP est-elle importante ? #

  • Les versions plus récentes sont plus rapides et plus sûres.
  • Some plugins or scripts require a minimum version.
  • Very old versions may no longer receive security updates.

Step-by-step: change your PHP version #

  1. Connectez-vous à DirectAdmin (généralement votredomaine.com:2222).
  2. Aller à Gestionnaire de comptes et cliquez sur Sélectionner la version de PHP (sometimes under “PHP Selector” or “Domain Setup”).
  3. Choose the domain if you have more than one.
  4. Select the PHP version you want from the dropdown.
  5. Cliquez sur Économiser ou Set as current.

Enabling PHP extensions #

After choosing a version you can often enable extra modules:

  • Look for a list of extensions on the same page.
  • Tick the ones your application needs (for example, mbstring ou curl).
  • Enregistrez vos modifications.

Vérification de la version active #

  • Create a PHP info page, or
  • In WordPress, go to Outils > État du site > Informations > Serveur to see the PHP version.

Dépannage #

  • Site breaks after switching: revert to the previous version, then update your software before trying again.
  • A plugin needs an extension: enable it in the PHP settings.
  • Modification non appliquée : clear any caching and reload.

Recommended approach #

  • Commencez par sauvegarder votre site.
  • Move up one version at a time if you are on something very old.
  • Test key pages and forms after each change.
