Your cPanel password protects your website files, databases, and email settings, so keeping it strong and current matters. Changing it takes only a moment. This guide explains how, and what to do if you are locked out.
Changing your password in cPanel #
- Log in op cPanel.
- Click your username in the top corner and choose Password & Security.
- Enter your old password, then a new strong password twice.
- Use the generator for a strong value if you like.
- Klik op Change your password now.
If you are locked out #
If you have forgotten the password entirely, you cannot change it from inside cPanel. Reset it from your Disoh client area, where your hosting login is managed, or contact support to reset it for you.

- Use at least 12 characters with letters, numbers, and symbols.
- Do not reuse passwords from other accounts.
- Store it in a password manager.
Goed om te weten #
Changing your main cPanel password does not change individual email passwords, which are managed separately. If you suspect unauthorised access, change the password immediately and review your email accounts and FTP users.
