A CSR (Certificate Signing Request) is the encoded text you provide when buying an SSL certificate. It contains your domain and organisation details and is created with a matching private key. This guide explains how to generate one in cPanel.
Quando você precisar de um CSR #
You need a CSR when buying a paid or third-party SSL certificate. If you use Disoh’s free AutoSSL, you do not need a CSR, as certificates are issued automatically.
Geração do CSR #
- Faça login no cPanel.
- No Segurança seção, abrir SSL/TLS.
- Clique em Certificate Signing Requests (CSR).
- Fill in your domain (common name), organisation, city, state, and country.
- Clique em Generate.
Como usar o CSR #
- Copy the CSR text into your SSL provider’s order form.
- cPanel keeps the matching private key; do not delete it.
- Once the certificate is issued, install it in cPanel.
Filling in details correctly #
Enter the domain exactly as you want it secured. Provide accurate organisation details, as some certificate authorities validate them. For a simple domain-validated certificate, the domain is the key field.
Solução de problemas #
- Certificado rejeitado: confirm the common name matches your domain.
- Key missing at install: use the key cPanel generated with this CSR.
