Como faço para alterar a versão do PHP do meu site no DirectAdmin?

Different applications need different PHP versions. WordPress and most modern software run best on a recent, supported version. DirectAdmin lets you switch the PHP version for your site in a few clicks. Here is how.

Why the PHP version matters #

  • Newer versions are faster and more secure.
  • Some plugins or scripts require a minimum version.
  • Very old versions may no longer receive security updates.

Step-by-step: change your PHP version #

  1. Faça login no DirectAdmin (geralmente seudominio.com:2222).
  2. Ir para Gerente de contas e clique em Selecione a versão do PHP (sometimes under “PHP Selector” or “Domain Setup”).
  3. Choose the domain if you have more than one.
  4. Select the PHP version you want from the dropdown.
  5. Clique em Salvar ou Set as current.

Enabling PHP extensions #

After choosing a version you can often enable extra modules:

  • Look for a list of extensions on the same page.
  • Tick the ones your application needs (for example, mbstring ou curl).
  • Salve suas alterações.

Checking the active version #

  • Create a PHP info page, or
  • In WordPress, go to Tools > Site Health > Info > Server to see the PHP version.

Solução de problemas #

  • Site breaks after switching: revert to the previous version, then update your software before trying again.
  • A plugin needs an extension: enable it in the PHP settings.
  • Alteração não aplicada: clear any caching and reload.

Recommended approach #

  • Back up your site first.
  • Move up one version at a time if you are on something very old.
  • Test key pages and forms after each change.
