cPanel lets you host more than one website on a single account. An addon domain is a separate domain, while a subdomínio is a section of an existing domain (like blog.yourdomain.com). Here is how to create each.
Creating a subdomain #
- Faça login no cPanel.
- No Domínios seção, clique em Domínios ou Subdomains.
- Clique em Create a New Domain (or the subdomain option).
- Enter the subdomain, for example blog.yourdomain.com.
- Confirm the document root folder and create it.
Creating an addon domain #
- No Domínios seção, clique em Domínios.
- Clique em Create a New Domain.
- Enter the new domain name.
- Set its document root (the folder where its files live).
- Clique em Submit.
Make sure the addon domain’s DNS points to your server, usually by updating its nameservers.
Uploading content #
- Each domain or subdomain has its own folder.
- Upload that site’s files into the correct document root.
- Install WordPress or other software into that folder if needed.
Dicas #
- Keep folder names clear so you know which site is which.
- Enable SSL for every domain and subdomain.
- Point nameservers correctly for addon domains.
Solução de problemas #
- Addon domain not loading: confirm its nameservers or DNS point here, and allow for propagation.
- Wrong site shows: check the document root folder.
- No SSL: run AutoSSL after the domain resolves.
