The Zone Editor in cPanel lets you add and edit DNS records such as A, CNAME, MX, and TXT. These control where your domain and email point. Here is how to use it safely.
Opening the Zone Editor #
- Melden Sie sich bei cPanel an.
- In der Domains Abschnitt, klicken Sie auf Zonen-Editor.
- Find your domain and click Manage (or use the quick “+ A Record” style buttons).
Common record types #
- Ein Rekord: points a name to an IPv4 address.
- CNAME: points one name to another name.
- MX: routes email to your mail server.
- TXT: holds values like SPF and DKIM for email authentication.
Adding a record #
- Klicken Sie auf Add Record and choose the type.
- Enter the name, TTL, and value.
- Klicken Sie auf Add Record um zu speichern.
Editing or deleting #
- Find the record in the list.
- Klicken Sie auf Edit to change the value, or Delete to remove it.
- Speichern Sie Ihre Änderungen.
Important tips #
- DNS changes can take a few hours to propagate.
- Take note of the original value before editing.
- Be careful with MX and TXT records, since errors can break email.
