Webmail lets you read and send email from any web browser, with no mail app to set up. Disoh’s DirectAdmin hosting includes Roundcube, a clean, popular webmail client. This guide shows how to reach it.
Two ways to open webmail #
- Direct URL: go to yourdomain.com/webmail and log in with your full email address and password.
- From DirectAdmin: open E-mail Accounts and click the webmail link next to the mailbox.
Logging in #
- Open the webmail page.
- Enter your full email address.
- Enter the mailbox password.
- If asked, choose Roundcube.
What you can do in Roundcube #
- Read, reply to, and send email.
- Organise messages into folders.
- Set a signature and a vacation autoresponder.
- Manage a personal address book.
When webmail is most useful #
Webmail is ideal on someone else’s computer, while travelling, or for quick access without configuring an app. For daily use on your own devices, a mail app is often more convenient, but webmail is always available as a backup.
Troubleshooting #
- Login fails: use the full email address and re-check the password.
