How the handover works #
AutoDJ plays continuously as your default source. When you connect live broadcasting software using your source credentials, the server gives priority to your live feed, so your live show takes over automatically. When you disconnect at the end of your show, AutoDJ resumes right where it should. You do not need to manually stop and start AutoDJ each time.
What you need #
- Broadcasting software such as BUTT, Mixxx, or SAM Broadcaster.
- Your server details: host, port, and source password (and mount point for Icecast).
- Your microphone or audio source set up and tested.
Going live, step by step #
- Make sure AutoDJ is running as normal.
- Open your broadcasting software with your server details already configured.
- Connect to the server; your live audio takes over from AutoDJ.
- Confirm you are live by checking your stream in a separate player.
- Present your show.
- When finished, disconnect, and AutoDJ automatically takes back over.
