Once you have created a mailbox in cPanel, adding it to your phone takes just a few minutes. This guide covers the settings you need for iPhone and Android.
Find your settings #
In cPanel, open E-postkonton, click Connect Devices next to your mailbox, and note the recommended settings:
- Incoming (IMAP): your mail server, port 993, SSL.
- Outgoing (SMTP): your mail server, port 465, SSL.
- Username: your full email address.
On iPhone #
- Open Settings > Mail > Accounts > Add Account > Other.
- Choose Add Mail Account and enter your details.
- Set the type to IMAP and enter the servers above.
- Save.
On Android #
- Open your mail app and add an account.
- Choose IMAP or Övrigt.
- Enter your address, password, and the server details.
- Finish.
Troubleshooting #
- Cannot connect: confirm the hostname, ports, and SSL.
- Cannot send: check the outgoing server and that authentication is on.
