Deze keuze is van invloed op hoe je e-mail zich op verschillende apparaten gedraagt, dus het is de moeite waard om hier meer over te weten. Voor bijna iedereen is IMAP de betere optie. In deze handleiding wordt uitgelegd waarom.<\/p>\n<h2>Wat IMAP doet<\/h2>\n<p>Met IMAP blijft je e-mail op de server staan en wordt deze met al je apparaten gesynchroniseerd. Als je een bericht op je telefoon leest, wordt het op je laptop als gelezen weergegeven; als je het op \u00e9\u00e9n apparaat verwijdert, is het overal verdwenen. Je mailbox is altijd up-to-date.<\/p>\n<h2>Wat POP doet<\/h2>\n<p>POP downloadt berichten naar \u00e9\u00e9n apparaat en verwijdert ze standaard van de server.
