Se mide en segundos y, aunque suene t\u00e9cnico, comprender el TTL te ayuda a realizar cambios en el DNS sin problemas y a predecir cu\u00e1nto tardar\u00e1n en hacerse efectivos. Esta gu\u00eda explica qu\u00e9 hace el TTL y c\u00f3mo configurarlo de forma adecuada.<\/p>\n<h2>Qu\u00e9 es lo que controla realmente el TTL<\/h2>\n<p>Cuando un servidor consulta uno de tus registros DNS, almacena la respuesta durante el tiempo que dura el TTL, para no tener que volver a solicitarla cada vez. Un TTL m\u00e1s largo significa que el registro permanece en la cach\u00e9 durante m\u00e1s tiempo, lo que reduce el n\u00famero de consultas, pero hace que los cambios tarden m\u00e1s en surtir efecto. Un TTL m\u00e1s corto significa que los cambios se propagan m\u00e1s r\u00e1pido, pero da lugar a consultas m\u00e1s frecuentes. En resumen, el TTL supone un equilibrio entre estabilidad y flexibilidad.<\/p>\n<h2>Valores habituales de TTL<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>3.600 segundos (1 hora):<\/strong> un valor por defecto adecuado para la mayor\u00eda de los registros.<\/li>\n<li><strong>86 400 segundos (24 horas):<\/strong> Es adecuado para registros que rara vez cambian, lo que reduce el n\u00famero de consultas.<\/li>\n<li><strong>300 segundos (5 minutos):<\/strong> Resulta \u00fatil de forma temporal cuando est\u00e1s a punto de realizar cambios.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>C\u00f3mo utilizar el TTL al realizar cambios<\/h2>\n<p>Si sabes que vas a modificar un registro pr\u00f3ximamente, por ejemplo, al trasladar tu sitio web a un nuevo servidor, es recomendable reducir el TTL con antelaci\u00f3n.
