# How to Set Up Your Email in Mozilla Thunderbird

Mozilla Thunderbird is a free, powerful email program for Windows, Mac, and Linux. Adding your Disoh mailbox to it is quick. This guide covers the settings and steps.

## The settings you need

- **Incoming (IMAP):** your mail server, port 993, SSL/TLS.
- **Outgoing (SMTP):** your mail server, port 465, SSL/TLS.
- **Username:** your full email address.

## Adding the account

1. Open Thunderbird and go to **Account Settings > Account Actions > Add Mail Account**.
2. Enter your name, full email address, and password.
3. Click **Configure manually**.
4. Set both incoming and outgoing to the servers and ports above, with SSL/TLS and normal password authentication.
5. Click **Done** to finish.

## Why choose IMAP

IMAP keeps your mail on the server and in sync across devices, so Thunderbird shows the same mailbox as your phone or webmail. It is the recommended choice.

## Troubleshooting
